When I first entered my world tendency was neutral, but after killing about 5 black phantoms with this blue phantom and beating Penetrator, my tendency was pure white and I was able to challenge Miralda (something I couldn't do in my first playthrough, because I thought the only way to change tendency was killing bosses), and I was finally able to get the binded armor set for my female character. The same thing happened to me in 1-3, but less times and I had a blue phantom with me. On the 12th/15th black phantom I finally died, someone using acid cloud because they can't beat your weaponry is exceedingly cheap, but in the end I forfeited because I had no grind stones with me.
I had yet to beat any bosses, named black phantoms, or even get past the first area, and this was my first time entering the area in New Game +. This happened to me 12 to 15 times, with me getting utterly annoyed, but after the 6th time, I had just over 300,000 souls, so I went back to the nexus to level, and after going back to level again at the 10th time Satsuki was waiting for me by that first gate. Rather than being stupid and trying to beat both Vanguard and the black phantom, I would run back to entrance, give him or her one or two strikes with northern regalia, killing them instantly.
I was trying to raid 4-1 the other night, and every time I would approach the gate for Vanguard, a black phantom would invade. Kill the spider, then go the the nexus and kill yourself (so you won't lose tendency on stone fang), then kill flame lurker and kill yourself at the nexus again, then the dragon god and well, in theory, you should have pure white.Īs it seems if you have that miracle that revives other players you can use that as well, just out of the fog of the dragon good keep summoning blue phantoms and reviving them that'll get you a lot of positive tendency, of course that too will have to wait till NG+ and it depends on whether you have the miracle or not.Ĭlick to expand.Try it.
which in NG+ would be quite a feat, you could just face the bosses all in soul form just to be safe, Click to expand.yep, same thing happened to me, you gotta have pure white tendency to get to the sword, and unfortunately pure white is quite hard to get, the best way is defeating all the bosses in stonefang without going into any other world or getting online I guess, so you don't risk getting a tendency shift based on other players worlds, well at least I think that killing all the bosses on a single world would most definitely get that world to pure white, of course you can't die while you're at it.
